Grazie.
Premetto che vengo dal mondo ms, analizzo le funzioni dei programmi come 
utente.
seguono i punti A, B e C

A) Orca non va bene: è scomodo! non si capisce nulla, uno si perde.
Comunque io non sono non vedente, quindi non vivo molto l'accesso TOTALE 
ai sistemi con il Text to speech.... se non come test.
I non vedenti usano jawes in win per il controllo totale del pc e si 
trovano bene
NB mancano voci buone come le sapi 5 per linux :-(

B) Un ottimo programma per il text to speech per win è DSpeech  
http://dimio.altervista.org/ita/
fa la lettura di testi in vari formati e consente anche la crezione di 
mp3 di diversa durata per fare audiobook
è ottimo per win. Non da il controllo TOTALE della macchina ma è ottimo 
per leggere oi testi.
ha 3 cose che mancano:

1 l'inegrazione col bowser
2 l'integrazione col client di email
3 la possibilità di aprire più file in piu' schede (tipo firefox)
è compilato in vb 6 ...
possiamo fare qualcosa?
 


potrei chiedere all'autore il codice... ma non lo vedo troppo favorevole


C) POI  MANCA IL RICONOSCIMENTO VOCALE PER LA DETTTATURA :-(
(io non passo  del tutto a ubuntu per quello)

Many people who use Linux are spending 10+ hours in front of their 
computers each day. Because of this, many of us have typing-related hand 
damage. While I don't expect to be able to use the command line with 
voice, I should be able to write email and use a mouse-grid.

Ubuntu _needs_ voice dictation software. We have not even started down 
the LONG ROAD to having free voice software. We have a couple of 
speech-to-text engines, but we don't have a good large vocabulary to 
work with. This Wiki page talks about getting the collection of this 
vocabulary started, but NOTHING has happened.

As you point out, we need voice tools if we are going to get into 
mainstream corporate and government desktops. If we are are going to be 
an alternative to MS Vista in these markets, speech-to-text is MORE 
IMPORTANT then 3d desktops.
